Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games - Festival melbourne2006
In March 2006 Melbourne played host to the 2006 Commonwealth Games. Running alongside the Sporting Program was Festival Melbourne2006 - twelve days of non-stop music, dance, circus, street theatre and visual arts from all the corners of the Commonwealth.
Over 2,500 world-class performing artists from across Australia and the Commonwealth descended on Melbourne for the duration of the Games as part of the largest free cultural festival ever held in Australia.
Contracted to supply Technical & Production Coordination to the two Circus sites, Big Top & Aerial Rig, trafficlight were also responsible for the Lighting design of the Circus sites, the Sidney Myer Music Bowl performances, the Alexandra Gardens public lighting, and for Songs of Sanctuary in Federation Square.
